A few common Questions & Answers to help identify your ISUZU

Q. How do I know what model truck I have?
A. There is generally a white manufacturers data sticker located
on the LH B pillar (N series) or an Aluminium data plate on the LH dash panel in
front of the passenger knee area (C/E & F series). On older models it may be
located in the LH or RH step box area. The chassis number is also stamped in the
chassis rail adjacent to the RH front wheel.
Q. My vehicle is an "ELF" - What does that mean?
A. The small range of ISUZU trucks (N series) are generally called an ELF,
however there are literally hundreds of model variants.
Q. My truck is a "Forward". What does this mean?
A. Isuzu trucks are generally Forward Control configuration, and
the mid size F series range were commonly labelled as ISUZU "Forward" models.
Q. My truck is a "GIGA". What does this mean?
A. GIGA is the name given to ISUZU C&E series Heavy duty range
trucks, primarily the Japanese models.
Q. Are NZ and Japanese import ISUZU truck models the same
?
A. No while the basic look of the vehicle is the same invariably
there can be significant differences between NZ market and Japanese import model
trucks.
Q. How can I tell if my ISUZU truck is an import?
A. The NZ (or worldwide market) vehicles chassis nos' are
prefixed with JAA (Isuzu Japan Light Duty truck) or JAL (Isuzu Japan Heavy Duty
truck).

Q. What can I do to ensure I get the correct parts for my
vehicle?
A. In order for us to be as accurate as possible in supplying
parts for your vehicle, provide us with the year of manufacture & the full
chassis number of your vehicle. A photo of your truck and a legible photo of the
ID plate will often help to verify the correct model.
